One-to-one coaching, for people who are serious about this
The job board is free and always will be. But a board can only point at roles. It can't help you land one, and it can't help you once you're inside — which is where this gets hard.
We're building a guided programme for a smaller number of people who have decided this is the path they want: one-to-one support getting into a seat with real influence over farmed animals, and a peer network of people doing the same thing in other businesses.
It isn't running yet. We're designing it and seeking funding now. Joining the waitlist costs you nothing, commits you to nothing, and helps us build it around the people who actually want it — which is also the evidence funders ask for.
What we expect it to include
- Working out which seat to aim for. Not every influential role suits every person. We'd map your background against the routes that are realistically open to you, and be honest about which are years away rather than months.
- Building the credibility employers ask for. The specific gaps between where you are and what these adverts require — Sedex and SMETA literacy, commodity knowledge, food-carbon skills, procurement vocabulary — and the shortest honest route to closing them.
- Applications and interviews. How to write about your motivation in language a commercial hiring manager responds to, and how to answer “why do you want this job?” truthfully without sounding like an activist in the room.
- A peer network for once you're in. This is the part almost nobody offers. Getting the job is half the problem; the other half is being the only person in the building who thinks this way, with no one to ask what to raise and when. People in comparable seats, comparing notes.
- Staying in touch after. Your first influential role isn't the destination. We'd keep supporting the moves that come after it.
Who it's for
People who have genuinely bought into the theory of change: that more will change for farmed animals from inside the businesses making sourcing decisions than from most jobs available in advocacy, and that this is worth years rather than months.
That means being comfortable holding a conviction quietly while speaking fluent business, being the only person in the room who thinks this way, and compromising pragmatically rather than holding out for purity. It suits people at any career stage — early-career, mid-career pivots, and people already in food who want their work to count for more.
It won't suit everyone, and we'd rather say so plainly than sign up people it would waste.
What happens next
Join the waitlist below. When the first cohort opens we'll get in touch, most likely with a short conversation to work out whether it's a fit both ways. Places will be limited, because individual support doesn't scale and pretending otherwise would help nobody.
Meanwhile, the job board is free and open to everyone, as is the weekly digest.

Five minutes. Everything except your name and email is optional — but the more you tell us, the better we can shape the programme around the people who actually want it.
